Light Translations specializes in English and Brazilian Portuguese translations and works in partnership with native translators (Brazilian, British and American).
Sheila Teixeira is director-owner of Light Translations. She was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, also a British citizen, she graduated in journalism, holds a Marketing post-graduate degree from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK, and studied Digital Marketing at NYU, New York. Her credentials also include a CAE – Cambridge Advanced English diploma.
She lived in London for many years and spent a few others in New York. With over 15 years of professional experience in marketing and PR, she offers extensive know-how in corporate translations in general, specializing in the marketing, media, and advertising sectors.
Highlights of her career include being the interpreter for Ozzy Osbourne during his press conference in Brazil, in 2011; being part of the marketing team that launched Disney XD channel in England and Europe; experience working for large PR firms in Brazil such as Porter Novelli, where she was part of the team that launched AXE Apollo campaign in Brazil, wrote for Jungle Drumms lifestyle magazine in London, she led the translations of various campaigns and high-profile brands in Brazil, and she recently debuted in the literary market, translating the book “How Long You Should Wait To Have Sex” a novel from American Hollywood writer Monique Sorgen.
